What is a Labyrinth?![]() The Labyrinth is an archetype, a divine imprint, found in all religious traditions in various forms around the world. By walking the labyrinth, laid on the floor, we are rediscovering a long-forgotten mystical tradition that is insisting to be reborn. The labyrinth has only one path so there are no tricks to it and no dead ends. The path winds throughout and becomes a mirror for where we are in our lives. It touches our sorrows and releases our joys. Walk it with an open mind and an open heart. There are three stages of the walk Stations At St Andrew’s there are usually 6 'stations' and a centre. At each of the stations there are displays - things for you to feel and touch, there will also be something for you to do. These stations are designed to enable you to reach your inner being and pursue your visions; you are invited to stay at each station for as long as you wish. The centre is the climax of the labyrinth where you can stay for as long as you like - if you fall asleep someone will gently wake you when it’s time to go! Remember this is for your benefit.
